4 months after DRUPA 2024 – a quick look back
8 years without DRUPA was a long time and it was good to see that “ink on paper” is still alive, has great value and unique advantages that make it the perfect partner for digital content. In addition, we are seeing more and more that the discussion about the sustainability of printed information versus digital formats is becoming more fact-based – not everything that comes over a WIFI connection is “greener”. Thank you to all those who have helped to objectify this discussion.
Several customer visits after DRUPA have shown that web printing is still consolidating, improving operational performance, and reinventing itself. As part of this process we see printers with vision investing in new equipment, automation, upgrades and improved workflows, because there is still a big market out there – we all love printed information for different formats, be it a beautiful book, a special magazine, customized sales catalogs,…
It’s motivating to see that several DRUPA projects have turned into projects and orders. We are particularly proud about the succes of our new compensating and log stacker:
The 𝗖𝗦/𝟯𝟭𝟲𝟬 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿 has become the new standard (in terms of units sold and performance) and truly the best successor to the 𝗚ä𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗞𝗟 𝟱𝟰𝟬 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗟 𝟱𝟲𝟬 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀. More info at https://lnkd.in/eNHFyr9c
Shortly after its introduction, the 𝗦𝗛/𝟳𝟬𝟬-𝗜𝗚 𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿 (the next generation of Gämmerler’s SH 700) has successfully been installed behind various presses with different folders and applications. More info at https://lnkd.in/eXkVaiUH
